I'm so happy I've been able to give my children a wonderful part of me. My Last one, by far, is the longest I have ever nursed any of them. I've been sitting back and not offering for the last 2 days. Been offering more cups of liquids and other foods. It's now day 2 and he's not asked. This is my second child that I'm breastfeeding. My new baby is one week old. I had difficulty with latch problems with my first child and wore a nipple shield for a long time. This baby will not accept the nipple shield at all. The tips of my nipples are really sore because the baby is compressing on them when she sucks. Her tongue is really far back in her mouth and I've been practicing sucking exercies with her that were given to me by the lactation consultant. Still, I'm not sure... Read More
Just had a baby for my sister. She wants to use my breastmilk and I am fine withthat, but we do not want to feed the baby directly. I have started pumping, but the flow is extremely slow and time consuming I have pumped for tenminutes and have barley covered the ottom of the bottle. Just had baby a day ago. I have been back to work since my daughter was seven weeks old and I continue to struggle with pumping while at work. There are days when I pump 10 ounces and days when I pump 2 ounces. Does anyone else have problems being consistent with how much they are pumping? And does anyone have advice on what I can do to be more successful with pumping?... Read More
