The one where I laugh when my daughter cries.

Marc obsessed over "Shark Week" on the Discovery Channel. Watched it every day like a researcher who needed every bit of information in order to STAY ALIVE. A few days after it was over we were driving in the car and he turns to Rachael and says, "Hey Rachael. Wanna know what sharks eat?" "What?"Dramatic pause."Little girls! But they like to save them for dessert!"I couldn't help laughing through her tears. ... Read More

Pop-pop update

A quick update on my grandfather. His recent crisis was brought on by a mild heart attack, and he has some other issues going on as well. Fortunately, he is doing better, and it looks as though he'll be released to the health care center at his retirement community either Friday or Monday. Rain...

My mom poem that keeps me going
Posted On 10/23/2007 09:28:34 by lisah746
I just love this poem. I can read it and feel better.

Everything Mom
How did you find the energy, Mom
To do all the things you did,
To be teacher, nurse and counselor
To me, when I was a kid.
How did you do it all, Mom,
Be a chauffeur, cook and friend,
Yet find time to be a playmate,
I just can’t comprehend.
I see now it was love, Mom
That made you come whenever I'd call,
Your inexhaustible love, Mom
And I thank you for it all.
