The solid food part has been kind of fun. DD just grabs at everything we eat!! She'll grab it while its on the way to our mouth and pull it to hers...its so funny. Did you feed her the oatmeal cereal you can buy or did you cook her just the plain ol oatmeal like adults eat? And yes more ends on out of their mouth than in! LOL

No it's the cereal that you can just buy. I'm scared to try and make her anything else. I'm not that great of a cook. But I just bought her some new spoons so hopefully that will help her get it in her mouth!! LOL

Cooking for you DC is so much easier than cooking for yourself. It literally took me 10mins to make enough carrots to last her a month. I just cut up some already peeled baby carrots, put them in the steamer till soft and then pureed them with their own juices. Place them in ice cube tray and feeze them then transfer them into a zip lock bag. It really is that easy. I did the same thing with yams and apples. Its way healthier for them too. I use organic fruits and vegies. Hope this helps. THere's also a group you can join that will help you with this as well.

I found out that the water babies sun screen works really well for my daughter. So I guess I answered my own question, but thank you for the help. I have tried to cook some carrots, but they didn't turn out right. Maybe my boyfriends mom can help.
