Posted On 07/30/2011 02:20:42

Spring is well under way and summer is fast approaching. It's time for kids to take out their roller blades for carefree treks down boardwalks and sidewalks. Dads will rummage through closets for dormant baseball caps and to see if last year's uniform still fits. If not playing ball he'll watch from the sidelines, or from the comfort of his favorite chair. Moms, time to don old jeans, stock up on sunscreen, and get out the fishing poles. You heard me, ladies. Fishing poles! It's time to fight back!

According to the American Heart Association (AHA), stroke is the third leading cause of death in women. Every year an estimated 97,000 American women will die as a result of stroke. Statistically, every 53 seconds stroke will victimize someone in America. Of an estimated 600,000 stroke victims each year about 160,000 die as a result. There is, however, an easy way to drastically reduce these statistics.

Rates of stroke are also pregnant and who have recently given birth, new research shows.
Slagtilfælde satser kvinder the cr, der er gravid, og som for nylig fødte undersøgelse Viser en ny.

Researchers at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention looked at data from hospital discharge and found that between 1994-95 and 2006-07, the number of stroke hospitalizations increased by 47% of pregnant women, as it rises to 83% women three months after delivery. The results of the study are published in Stroke: Journal of the American Heart Association.

Likely culprit: the women, getting pregnant is still likely that other risk factors for stroke such as obesity, hypertension, congenital heart disease or diabetes. Among women hospitalized for stroke, before the birth, for example, 17% had high blood pressure, 2006-07, compared to 11% in 1994-95. But the exact role of these factors must be examined, says Kuklina. And there is more research on how to treat pregnant women at high risk of stroke.

It is interesting to note that the number of shots in just about when the woman's child was sent to hospital in stable 0.27 Fri 1000 deliveries. It is unclear why, but it could be that women are already in the hospital the baby is being carefully monitored, and if they are in danger, treated to prevent a heart attack before it happens.

Kuklina suggests women are pregnant, planning to visit a doctor ahead of time to get the general health and discuss the risk factors and how they can be withdrawn diet, exercise and other habits.
