Hello everyone my name is Tarrah and I am new here. I am the mother of an 20 day old lil girl. This is my first child and while this is all new to me, I am not new to children in general. I am having some issues in the begining with my hind milk not coming in for almost two weeks, so she dropped some weight. Which scared me to death. The Doctor said I couldn't BF anymore, that I would have to pump, and compensate for the lack of hind milk for the moment with formula. Well needless to say that stressed me out so much that I was counting the drops of milk that fell into the bottles during pumping. Which in turn stressed me out more. I have had a hard time trying to keep my milk up since she isn't feeding off of them, I do put her on them so we have our bonding time, and I pump every other feeding for the moment since, I wasn't producing anything more then an Half an ounce from each breast at every feeding. Its very frustrating, Im not at all sure what to do and not sure if an LC could help me, when she doesn't have a problem latching.
