I had to give formula :(

I just spoke to my daughters doctor and i have to supplement with formula. I tried for weeks to increace my supply but she just weaned herself. I would offer the brest but she would refuse. So now she is on the special kind for milk allergies. I am so sad and feel like a failure. Oh well my body just said enough. this is my third bfed baby. ttyl

You are not a failure!!  Some bodys just have a time limit I guess... :)  keep your head up!

Hi Bridget1977, I understand you feel sad but, you are not a failure.  Breastfeeding does not define a good mother, unconditional love, tenderness and patience mean more to your baby than anything else.  You are a wonderful mother, who has blessed her baby by giving her the greatest gift of all; YOU.  So chin up, and enjoy your wonderful family .

You are not a failure! I'm sure you tried everything you could and there is nothing you can do when the child wants to wean themself. You can force your breast down her throat Just think of the positive that you have BF 3 children!!!! Good for you!
