I feel if I never had that epadural done I would of had it normal. I feel that I shouldt of never had that done.now my back hurts and I feel cheated on my babys birth. Now that I know there was diffrent anastisia they could of used.  any advice?

for one thing epaderals are not 100% safe, dont you remeber the doc explaning theres a chance you may be paralized from waist down for quite some time and theres stories out there they fo even life. ppl cant say it wasnt or it was the epaderals fault. It sounds like to me that you werent able to push why they did the c-cection but the womens right, be glad and proud regardles what ever way you did give birth. Shes' healthy and safe in your arms today, BE A PROUD MOMMY!!

Girl, don't feel bad.  I've had it both ways.  In my opinion, the epidural made delivery much harder just because I couldn't feel the contractions.  But that's why they nurses are there.  They told me when to push and I pushed.  They did the same for you, and trust me, if they wanted you to push harder they would've been in your face telling to push for all you're worth.  For my second baby, I made it the hospital just in time. They didn't have time to give me any drugs (I was so mad).  It was not my intention to have a baby that way.  But I survived, although I didn't feel like I was going to at the time.  Take it from me, having had it both ways, don't feel cheated.  Delivering a baby, regardless of the procedure, is an awesome feeling.  I am a very sentimental person, I like to think about my baby's births all the time.  What it was like to hold them for the first time in my arms and crying like a baby...  Anyway, you carried a baby for 10 months and brought baby into this world. End of story.  You did a fantastic job and shouldn't feel guilty of anything.  The epidural didn't effect your delivery in any way.  Infact, epidurals are very safe.  You didn't do anything wrong!!
