Once again He comes through in my time of need. In my previous blog I mentioned my milk supply struggle. For weeks my supply continued to decrease. I believe a lot of it was due to the fact that my baby never learned to BF and seemed to impatient to try when offered. I was left with no other choice besides EPing. But this weekend something of a miracle happened! My goal was to stay home, relax and spend some time with my little one. As I sat on the bed looking at her hungry face I offered my breast. To my suprise she latch to it quickly but soon became fussy and would turn away. Usually at this point the rejection hurt to deeply to continue. I'd give in with a bottle. But I sat there on that bed and I literally cried out to the Lord..."help me father, hear my cry"...tears running down my cheeks. I just knew that the one thing that would help my milk supply the most was getting that baby to BF!! Once I calmed down, I tried offering it again and again and again. Each time she would latch on. Sometimes only for a few minutes. I couldn't believe she was being so patient...NEVER before had she been. As the day went by she got better and less fussier. Before I knew it the day was almost over and she had only had a couple of bottle feedings the whole day...
I found an LC in my area to talk to for encouragement and help. She was wonderful!!! She helped encouage me to keep trying to BF. She gave me tips on how to increase my supply and we put a plan down on paper. Now it is Tuesday and the Lord truly heard my cry. It took my baby and I 4 months to learn how to BF and we're far from being experts but I think we've begun a new journey...My milk supply is almost back to where it was in the beginning and another day goes by where I can confidently say that I filled my baby's tummy with the best!!

As in everything in my life Baruch Haba BaShem Adonai!!!
