sleeping through the night & routine
Posted On 05/13/2008 08:05:34

After reading some of the other blogs about babies as young as 7 weeks old sleeping through the night i was wondering how have those mums achieved this? Please share you secret!!

Have you put the babies on strict routines so that they will be fed and woken up at certain times to achieve this as per the Gina Ford regime or has it happened naturally feeding on demand? I feed my daughter exclusively on breastmilk every 2 - 3 hours on demand.

Breastfeeding in Public (UK)

I am happily breastfeeding my 6 week old baby and it seems to be going very well. However i am reluctant to leave my house with her as i scared that she'll want feeding when we are out in public. I am not sure how people will respond to breastfeeding in public and how welcoming it is in restaurants etc. I do plan to express in the coming weeks so that i can have a bottle of milk ready for her as and when she may need it. However i don't want to rely on having bottle but want to get over the fear of feeding her in public. I guess i am just looking for some support from other breastfeeding mums who may have also felt this way at the beginning and how they overcame it.

Milk Supply
Posted On 04/25/2008 08:14:01

Hi,

I have a 3 week old baby girl and initially breast feeding was going well. My breasts were engorged every morning up until recently where my breast are begining to feel lighter. I am worried that my milk supply may not be enough and is reducing. My baby feeds every 2 -3 hours and at times has been known to feed from both breasts. I do not understand why my breasts have stopped becoming engorged. Any advice is much appreciated.
