Just wanted everyone to know that I've just created a group for mothers of thumb suckers, my daughter is 6, just graduated from Kindergarten and I'd like to break her of it by 1st grade, any ideas? What have you tried?

Didn't get to your 2008 spring cleaning chores? Don't feeeel bad, now you can tackle "Tornado cleaning" which can occur all year long, and at any time. For us coastliners, today is June 1st, and as we all know, starts us off w/ "Hurricane cleaning" Lets get started.

Today, I started with spot cleaning the carpet by hand and scrub brush, now I know I won't get it all done today, but Iam only doing the walk areas and living room. This carpet has never had a major clean job, unless you count the desperate KIRBY salesperson showing up at your door. Yipee!!
My beige carpet had the look of spattered paint all over it, which accumualted during a years time, but thanks to a couple of large cups of coffee and a little gungho, the house is looking a little brighter on the downside! What long awaited chore have you tackled this week? Check-in, to see if the job got finished, some of us are procrastinators. Thanks.

Do you have some good time saving house keeping tips?

Myself, I can't stand folding clothes!!!
-I hang up all shirts the way they come out of dryer, right side out or not.
-As for everything eles, it gets thrown in unused Pak N Play.
 
I can't stand mopping, when I do mop
-I found it easier to let the washing machine assist by filling it
1/2 way up, I don't add anything to the water since I like to squeeze my floor cleaner right out from a diluted lemon scented electrasol bottle (75 oz.), found in the dishwashing Isle.
-This method provides less bending and easier rinsing. 
-This detergent is good for those that have all tile floors, because this has bleach in it and it will dis-color any carpet your mop makes contact with.  Except white of course.
