From the Desk of a Working Mom

November 22, 2000

Dear Breastfeeding.com,

What helps a working, pumping mom with her letdowns? Surfing through Breastfeeding.com! I am a Public Health Nurse and Certified Lactation Counselor working full-time with a 7-month-old nursling and toddler in day-care. Being that we only have women on our floor, I'm able to pump twice a day right in my cubicle. My supervisor and coworkers are wonderful and very accommodating to my pumping needs. Ritualistically, I surf through Breastfeeding.com as I pump. I love reading all the stories, picking up new information to share with clients, and keeping updated on all of the current research being done on breastfeeding. In addition, I'm convinced that surfing your site helps get my oxytocin flowing! Thank you for all of the great information...my happy, healthy, breastfed baby thanks you too!

Sincerely,
Julie Lamppa, PHN, CLC
